A look at careers in U.S. diplomacy

The YWCA will be sponsoring a presentation of the film “America’s Diplomats” on Jan. 10 at the Gates
Center in Alumni Hall at 5 p.m and is open to the public.
The film follows the role of diplomats in American politics from Benjamin Franklin’s acquisition of
French support of American independence, to the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed U.S.
Ambassador Christopher Stevens and others.
The film will be followed by a discussion about Franklin and his contributions to American diplomacy
lead by NCC Foundation Board member Bruce Denlinger.
The presentation is a lead-up to the YWCA’s Great Decisions Foreign Policy lecture series. The series
will be presented in February and March at Kirkland Village in Bethlehem, and will focus on
international issues and American policy.
