Are you struggling to find an internship? Are you confused about how to write a cover letter and resume? Are you scared about job interviewing? Don’t be worried. There is a career service in the Northampton Community College (NCC) to clarify all of your confusions.
This department [career services] pledges to equip NCC’s students properly with tools to succeed during and after their college education.
With the opportunities of internships, workshops, job shadowing and searching, they do help students on job interviewing, resume and cover letter writing.
“Career services can help students get a start to having an effective resume and cover letter,” said Jason Haller, Internship Manager of NCC.
“We also assist students to get experienced in their respective career field early by helping students find internships or job shadowing opportunities,” he said.
They also offer professional development workshops throughout the semester.
But Jason lamented saying that many students actually don’t know about career services and opportunities it offers.
The Center for Career Development arranged a “Spring Career and Internship Fair” on April 16 at NCC’s college center where employers will be lining up to find their future employees but due to COVID-19, it has been canceled. Students can still reach out to the career service for opportunities and advice.
