You can make your teeth sparkle at NCC’s Litwak Dental Clinic, which offers students free cleanings at Fowler Family Southside Center.
“I didn’t know that this existed for students,” said Michele Osztrosits, a former Psychology student at NCC.
Located on the third floor at 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem, the clinic provides supervised dental hygiene. Students must bring their current student ID to receive their free dental screening, X-rays, teeth cleaning, dental health education and a fluoride treatment.
“Patients should expect to be here for a few hours when they come in. It’s a learning experience for our students,” said the director of the program, Sherry Meyers.
Students and faculty may receive other dental hygiene services such as fluoride treatments, tooth desensitization, dental sealants and polishing restorations starting at $25.
X-rays will be sent to their family dentists.
The clinic is open during the fall semester from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Appointments are available weekdays during the spring semester from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
