St. Patty’s Day in September landed smack in the middle of Northampton Community College’s Student Life Zone on Main campus Sept. 24th. The event, held to help publicize that weekend’s Celtic Fest in Bethlehem, featured authentic free Irish food for the students and live entertainment. The entire room was decorated in green for the occasion: balloons on all the tables, beads to wear around the neck, and sparkling hats available to wear. All green. Students were encouraged to mingle, relax, and enjoy the Irish celebration. Live entertainment included Irish dancing courtesy of the O’Grady Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance and a traditional Irish singer who performed with a guitar and a drum.
The Commuter was there to capture all of the excitement. Our photographer on the scene, Devon Walker, presents this gallery of photos.
