The Farmer’s Market at NCC

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. people gather outside of College Center in the
Quad for the weekly farmer’s market.
There are fresh sweet corn, ripe tomatoes, candy onions, potatoes, and more delicious
veggies that grace the tables at Jett’s Produce and The East 40 Community Garden’s stand. The
smell of coffee wafts from the Monocacy Coffee Roasters stand, complementing the bread and
pastries found at Wayfare Baker and The Flour Shop Bakery.
It’s not all food, there are plenty of other things to see like pottery and sculpture as well
as hand-made soap. The market is open to the public and is held year-round. In the winter it
moves up to Laub Lounge located on the second floor of College Center. It is a pleasant place to
spend some time and a great way to support local business.
